COUNTDOWN TO FIRST DAY OF CAMP IN 2023!

A Day at CDC
Your camper’s day begins between 8:00 and 9:00 am as they are picked up by a Camp Deer Creek bus. From the second they step on the bus, they are “going away” to Camp Deer Creek for the day. Most vans reach camp by 9:20 and flag raising and opening announcements begin at 9:30. After the opening, your camper will follow a structured day, which includes seven 45 minute periods.
The activities include: instructional and recreational swim, optional horseback riding lessons, archery lessons, climbing wall, ropes course, arts and crafts, drama, ziplines, nature hikes, creek hikes, music and of course the ever popular field games. Camp Deer Creek also serves a hot lunch prepared daily in our kitchen. All campers swim twice daily except the Crickets and the Braves (our two youngest groups), whose one swim period is divided for instruction and for recreation.
The bell to return to the buses rings at 3:25 pm and the campers get a drink of "Bug Juice" and a pretzel for their return ride home. Most drop offs are between 3:45 and 4:45 pm.

Be a Camper Today!
We have got that Deer Creek Spirit deep in our hearts and it is expressed in a wide variety of activities -- weekly Friday Special Days, craft projects, cookouts, the Deer Creek Breezes newsletter, creek walks, swimming, archery, horseback riding, zip lining, drama, music and creating life-long friendships.
That spirit never goes away. Campers have become counselors and now there are second and even third generations of campers whose parents and grandparents began their first camping experience here!
